I decided to add an introduction to my documentary. This isn’t something I have really seen in documentaries before as there is usually only a short title sequence or sometimes it even cuts straight into the documentary. However, I have seen introductions in TV shows, Films and cartoons (often to introduce characters or actors). I thought I would experiment with the idea of a similar thing for my documentary but rather than introducing characters or actors it would introduce the people that will appearing in the documentary. This opening sequence first starts with the title of the documentary (‘Music Of Sunderland’) followed by my production company (‘LJR Media’) and accompanying logo. It then shows the word ‘featuring’ and begins to show a series of clips from each individual who will be appearing in the documentary with their names across the screen. I feel this makes it very clear who each person is, making this introduction music more effective than my original sequence. These clip...

1st draft of documentary: After completing my fist draft of the documentary I uploaded it and asked if anything could be changed or improved upon, These were the results: A response to my first draft of the documentary was that it was too long. To fix this I decided to look through the documentary for things that could be removed or shortened. The first thing I thought I could shorten was the Toxeine intro. Sean (Toxeine) also mentioned that he didn't want the second part of the song to be in the intro (the $haine Cobaine verse) so I thought I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone and cut the intro in half, making it significantly shorter as well as removing the unwanted part of the song. First, I opened a new timeline and copied over the original Toxeine intro. See Below: I then cut off the second part of the audio which was requested to be removed and looked through the intro to see what clips could be removed or shortened and reconstructed the introduction with these clips shortened/r...

Toxeine Interview 1 Content I recorded an interview with a Sunderland artist, Toxeine, this consisted of 9 questions: - What made you decide to make music? - How did you get started with making music? - Who are your inspirations? - Do you think living in the North-East has influenced your music? - Do you have a specific writing/recording process? - Have you collaborated with any other artists? - What was the first song you made that you were really happy about? - Do you think that your music has developed enough since you started? - What is your current studio set-up? I decided to use 2 camera angles as I thought both were suitable and wanted to experiment with switching between camera angles during the interview. During the interview Toxeine's phone rang. I decided to leave this in and even cut out the background music as I thought it would create a comedic moment as well as give the viewer a more personal connecting with what they are watching as it shows imperfections within the...
